Harry N. "Nick" Harden, 75, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010, at his home. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and also a veteran of the National Guard. He had worked at the WV Malleable Iron and later retired from SuperAmerica.

Nick was born on February 19, 1935, in Point Pleasant, a son to the late Rody Sr. and Marie (Rogers) Harden Byus. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Rody Harden, Jr. and Thomas Harden; and his sister, Patty Wood.

Nick is survived by his wife, Brenda Harden; his sons, Kenneth Harden, of Florida and Harry N. Harden, Jr., of Rutland; his step-daughters, Kristina Bennett and Angela McCoy, both of Point Pleasant; his grandchildren, Jacob Bennett, Cody Bennett, Robert Fisher, Thomas McCoy, Eliza McCoy, Angie Harden, Brandy Harden, Emily Harden, Allison Harden, Ryan Brothers, Hannah Harden and Baylee Harden; his sister, Ann Durfee, of Point Pleasant; and his sister-in-law, Eloise Harden, of Point Pleasant.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be performed by the Marine Corps League. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
