Helen L. (Maynard) Joins, 84, of South Charleston and formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, in South Charleston. She was a homemaker and member of the Davies Grove Baptist Church. Helen was born on October 9, 1927, in Huddy, KY., a daughter to the late Ambrose and Bertha (Helve) Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claud W. Joins, Jr.

Helen is survived by her children, Rusty (Denise) Joins, of South Charleston, Randal (Kim) Joins, of Duluth, GA and Gale Neal, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Jimmy (Vicki) Neal, Lisa Bigham, Matthew Flahive, Kylie Joins, Shannon Joins, Rachel Joins, Evan and Ian Joins; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Keith Neal and Shane and Chase Bigham.

A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Hammack officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held the funeral home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
