Helen Maxine (Viers) McClintock, age 80, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord and her husband George, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the Adena Health System, in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born on August 6, 1935, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Sanford and Florence (Crump) Viers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband George Burns McClintock, Jr., who passed on September 4, 2010; her paternal grandparents, Moses and Rhoda Viers and maternal grandparents, John R. and Elizabeth S. Crump; and also a brother; Donald Ray Viers, and sister, Shirley Goradia.
Maxine was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She had worked at the Mason County Sheriff's Office she also worked as an Administrative Assistant earlier in her life and was a homemaker and was an avid lover of animals.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Catherine (Jeff) Boyce of Chillicothe, Ohio; two sons, George Burns "Sonny" (Terumi) McClintock, III of Jacksonville, Florida and John Robert (Susie) McClintock of Bidwell, Ohio; four grandchildren; Matthew Q (Alexandra), Mitchell K McClintock, Bradley Cummings and Vanessa Cummings; and great-granddaughter, Ayva Lynn McClintock; brother, Sanford "Sandy" Viers, of New Mexico and sister, Sandra Sargent, of Columbus, OH., also surviving are brother-in-laws; Donald (Nancy) McClintock and Ronald (Connie) McClintock along with several nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a lovely lady who faithfully lived her life for the Lord and will be missed by her family, her church family, friends and neighbors. We are blessed knowing that she has gone home.
Maxine's life will be remembered at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the Main St. Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Richard Sargent officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution in Maxine's memory to any local animal shelter and/or rescue of your choosing.
