Hollice Virginia (Erlewine) Thompson, 92, of Letart, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a lifelong farmer, along with her husband. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and also the Mason County C.E.O.S., for over 60 years.
She was born on August 1, 1920, in Point Pleasant, a daughter to the late Harry B. and Ada (Roberts) Erlewine. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Daniel Thompson; daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Bruce Sisk and granddaughter, Davi Sisk; brothers, Hayward, Harvey, Harry and Harold Erlewine; and sisters, Hazel Carter, Icle Bennett and Elsie Obenchain.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Roy Friend, Jo and Jim Turley and Jenny and Mike Hayman, all of Letart, WV; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, in Letart, with Revs. Jack and Nancy Mayes and John Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
