Hugh W. "Pete" Woods, 78, of Gallipolis Ferry, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Holzer Medical Center, after a short illness. Hugh was born February 9, 1933, in Hogsett, the son of the late Henry and Era Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Comella Faye Woods; two daughters, Era Michelle Woods and Lisa Mae Thompson; and a grandson, Jonathan Woods.

Hugh is survived by his four children, Mark and Diane Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry, Carol and Tim Litchfield, of New Haven, Cindy and Mark Neal, of Gallipolis Ferry and Woodie and Tammy Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry; a brother, William Henry "Bill" Woods; son-in-law, Greg Thompson, of Point Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Thaddeus and Tristan Thompson, of Point Pleasant, Samantha and Tim Hall, of Point Pleasant, Matthew and Josh Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry, Lucas Litchfield, of Mason, Jesse Litchfield, of New Haven, Danielle and Brittany Neal, of Gallipolis Ferry and Christian Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry; and one great-grandchild, Daryn Neal.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Watson Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery, in Apple Grove. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening, February 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
