Irwin Wayne Blessing, 62, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  He was a longtime cook for 24 years, at Pleasant Valley Hospital for many years.  He was born July 1, 1959, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Ralph A. Blessing and Betty (Crump) Kearns, of New Haven, and was raised by Jack Lambert and the late Louise Lambert.

Irwin is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara (Slayton) Blessing; daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha (Charles, III) Connolly, of Point Pleasant, and Misty (Kristopher) Presley, of Letart; grandchildren, Elijah and Caleb Connolly, Sean and Autum Craig, and Allienanna Presley; half-brother, Larry Robbins; and half-sisters, Jacquelyn Lambert, Connie Williamson and Kim McCoy.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Brewer Cemetery (4567 Charleston Rd.), with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Crow-Hussell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
