Iva (Hussell) Slayton, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, December 29, 2015, at Holzer Assisted Living. She was a member of the Krebs Chapel Church and operator of the Twins Beauty Shop for many years. Iva was born on October 1, 1926, in Mason County, a daughter to the late John R. and Nancy (Morris) Hussell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Slayton; brothers, Ralph R., John A., Richard and Leonard "Jack" Hussell; and sisters, Nancy Hussell and Clara G. Schultze.

Iva is survived by her twin sister, Olive (Hussell) Cottrill and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
