James Michael "Mike" Stanley, 64, of Southside, WV, peacefully passed away on Monday June 21, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Born on February 13,1957 to E.W. "Bill" and Frances Hook Stanley, Mike was a farmer from the start. On June 27 1975, Mike married the love of his life, Linda and went on to have 3 children, Amy Michelle, Michael and Ashley. Mike put family first, always, and was dedicated to providing for his family. He was so proud of his family and would brag to anyone who would listen.  Mike was a kind, loving, and supportive husband and father. His strength, guidance and love was the foundation of his family.

Mike worked every day of his life up to 2015 when he unwillingly retired due to health issues. Being on a tractor in a field was his "happy place."  If he wasn't farming, he was still working as the local "the satellite man" through his business LMS Satellite, driving a wrecker for Neville's Wrecker Service, delivering flowers for Gritt's Greenhouse or working for the Mason County Board of Education.  He loved being on the go and could rarely go anywhere that he didn't find someone he knew.

In addition to his parents he is proceeded in death by his grandparents, his sister Susan Stanley Foster and infant daughter, Amy Michelle Stanley.

He is survived by his wife Linda and children Michael Stanley of Southside and Ashley (Karl) Durst of Leon, brothers Steve (Mary) Stanley of Maysel WV, Ed (Valerie) Stanley of Hamersville OH, sister Nancy (Kenneth) Pickens of Liberty NC, Mother-in-law Amy Thornton of Gallipolis OH, sisters-in-law Kathy Hanks of Rio Grande OH, Cinda (Greg) Stalnaker of Pt. Pleasant WV and Tina (Mike) Elkins of Bidwell OH and brother-in-law Gale (Anita) Gill of Mason WV. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Mike's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastors Mike Chapman and Bob Patterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 24, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
