James "Hoss" Varian Sr., age 66 of West Columbia, WV passed away on Thursday February 6, 2025 at St. Mary's  Medical Center in Huntington, WV.

Hos was born April 12, 1958 in Mason, WV to the late Harry and Leona Varian Sr., besides his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Hank and sister Dorsey.

Hoss was a hardworking man that loved his family and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and snoodle turtles. He would fish for any species and the hunting season was always open, from deer to rabbits , squirrels to turtles he was always ready. He graduated high school and started working and raising a family spending his life at a Laborer with local #543 now located in Charleston, WV.

Hoss leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Kim, their son Jr. (Tiffany) Varian, the light of his eye and bestest little buddy, grandson Parker. Also surviving are one brother, Harry "Bug" (Barb) Varian and a sister, Becky (Roy) Brinker along with a host of extended family and friends that will deeply miss him.

Keeping with his wishes the family will not be having any public services.
