Jane Bowles, 87, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at her longtime home on 5th Street, surrounded by family. Born January 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bill Reynolds and Edith (Crump) Riley. Jane was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, raised a family with her husband, the late William "Red" Bowles, and worked several retail jobs in the area before retiring. She was a faithful member of the First Church of God in Point Pleasant. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elzetta Louise Young.

She is survived by her children: William "Bill" (Pam) Bowles of Bidwell, Ohio; Brady (Pam) Bowles, Bunker Hill, WV; Keith Bowles of Point Pleasant; Greg (Vanessa) Bowles of Hopkinsville, Ky., Kippie Bowles of Point Pleasant; brother, Jack Reynolds of Keyser, WV; several grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family who will all miss her dearly.

The family will be honoring Jane's final wishes for a simple, graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Union Cemetery, in New Haven, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.
