Jeanne Virginia (Hoch) Tatterson, age 94, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She was a homemaker and a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also a member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, where she had been very active as a past Sunday School Teacher for 33 years and a past Junior Choir Director. Later in life, she had worked at the Unemployment Office and also at the Mason County Library.
Jeanne was born April 20, 1922, in New Castle, PA, a daughter to the late Oliver and Gracie (Cook) Hoch. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Col. Richard R. Tatterson; and her son, William R. "Bill" Tatterson.
Jeanne is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Kit O'Mara, of Richmond, VA, Donna and Steve Neville, of Point Pleasant,; son, Jim Tatterson, of Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law, Linda (Withers) Tatterson, of Gallipolis Ferry; brother, Raymond Hoch, of Bessemer, PA; and sister and brother-in-law, Joanne (Don) Stroud, of Richmond, VA; brother-in-law, Tom (Sue) Tatterson, of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Kimberly (Lee) Gale, Wendy (Steve) Monger, Craig (Jill) Tatterson, Matthew (Jennifer) Neville, Mark (Angelica) Tatterson, Jonathan (Amber) Tatterson and Amy (Brian) Wagoner; great-granchildren, Ashley and Tyler Gale, Lindsay and Ben Monger, Taylor and Ryan Tatterson, Jacob, Madeline and Jackson Neville, Claire and Camille Tatterson, Cooper and Keira Tatterson and Griffin and Garret Wagoner; and many special nieces and nephews.
Jeanne's life will be remembered at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
