Joey Hall, Sr., 67, of Leon, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, October 11, 2011, at St. Mary's Medical Center, after a short illness. He was born on October 23, 1943. He had worked on dairy farms and was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Christena A. Hall; three sons, Joey Hall, Jr., James B. Hall, Scott A. Hall, all of Leon; four daughters, Nancy Harmon of Leon, Tammy Swann, Charlotte Hogg and Mary Steward along with their spouses, all of Point Pleasant; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and his best friend, his dog,Tigger.
Funeral services will be at Joey's home on Bear Wallow Road in Leon, at 2:00 p.m., October 13, 2011, with Elmer Miller, officiating. Burial will follow at Hall's Cemetery, on Bear Wallow Road, in Leon.
