Joey Dean Stanley age 64, of Pomeroy passed away unexpectedly in Pomeroy, OH Thursday October 6, 2022.

Joey was born December 6, 1957 in Kanawha County, WV to Everett and Leona Wilson Stanley. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Arlene Smith and a niece, Kimberly Dawn McCanney.

Surviving Joey is his daughters, Anna Shoaf and Alaina Staney, granddaughter, Rhesa Yank, grandson Harlynn Foster and future grandson, Jaxson David Dean his siblings; Marti Marcum, Gary Stanley, Gordon Stanley, Sandra Rife and Stan Stanley along with many nieces and nephews and extended family that will mourn his loss.

Joey loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His happiest times usually involved a four-wheeler and kids; he especially giving rides to his children and grandchildren.

Joey loved his family and friends very much, and was wiling to lend a hand whenever needed. No matter the situation Joey found himself in, he was always making jokes and laughing. Having been previously employed in the building and construction industry, he was quite good at building things - he could could put something together out of nothing.

Joey will be dearly missed by all. A private family service will be held in the spring to inter his remains at Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, WV.
