John T Scherer's Obituary
John T. Scherer age 85 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away early Saturday morning May 7, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center Jackson.
John was born March 4, 1931 in Eleanor, WV son to the late F.E. and Ida (Howell) Scherer. He served his country in the United States Army and after an honorable discharge he began working at Kaiser Aluminum where he remained until he retired after more than 30 years of loyal service, once retired John stayed active and enjoyed his retirement filling his days with time and adventures spent with his family just enjoying everyday.
John is preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Jamie Hauldren of Gallipolis, Oh.
Surviving he leaves behind his loving wife, Eula F. (Gardner) Scherer two daughters; Vickie (Ron) Hauldren-Phalin, and Mary (David) Biggs one son; John Thomas (Jane) Scherer II, four grandchildren; Amy (Christopher) Skidmore, Marcie Biggs, AJ and Mathew Scherer, and two great-grandchildren; Mason and Reagan Skidmore.
John was laid to rest with private services Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Haven of Rest in Red House, WV.
