Johnny B. "Sonny" Meadows, 79, of Southside, passed away on January 13, 2023, at his home. He was a retired Team Leader from AEP (Mountaineer Plant), and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He was born July 29, 1943, in Charleston, a son of the late Johnny B. and Effie G. (Clark) Meadows. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Wamsley, and his sister, Gloria Adkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Doreen J. (Morris) Meadows; daughters, Carla Meadows (Scott Slinde), of Point Pleasant, and Ricia Wamsley (Chip Spears), of Southside; son, Mark (Cheryl) Meadows, of New Cumberland, WV; grandson, Logan Meadows; and many extended family and friends.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2023, at Harmony Baptist Church, with Revs. David Radcliff and David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
