Joseph L. Leach age 77 of One River Street Gallipolis, OH passed away on Thursday April 23, 2020 at Abbyshire Place.

He was born November 23, 1942, in Reedsville, WV.  He was the son of the late Joseph W. Leach and Margaret K. (Smith) Leach, of Cheshire.

Joseph was a graduate of Kyger Creek High School, Ohio University, and Marshall University.  He was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18.  Joseph was a former Gallia County Engineer and Ohio District 10 ODOT Deputy Director.  He was also a Masonic Member, Wheelersburg Chapter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Spencer) Brown Leach; step-daughter, Charla Brown McGuire; and brothers, Donald Leach and Arthur Leach.

Joseph is survived by his sister, Gladys McGhee, of Graham, NC; brothers, Ronald (Margaret) Leach, of Bluffton, SC, and Charles (Kathryn) Leach, of Gallipolis; a step-son, Charles M. Brown III (Judy), of Fort Myers, FL; step-son-in-law, Dennis McGuire; step-grandsons, Dalton and Tanner McGuire, of Bidwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, private services will be conducted by Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with private interment at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
