On July 6, 2024 Joyce A. (Putney) Oliver took her final journey home, while at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House in Huntington, WV. surrounded by her husband, children and sisters.

Joyce was born August 31, 1952 in Mason Co. WV to the late Lester "Bud" and Edna "Toots" Putney Sr. besides her parents she is preceded in death by her older brother, Lester "Sonnie" Putney Jr., and a sister-in-law. Lydia "Cookie" Putney.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who loved her family and was always there to lend a hand where needed.

She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High and she remained active in both the Band and Football Boosters for years supporting not only her kids but also her grandson, Joyce married her high school sweetheart and the two if them spent 53 years together through the good and the bad they remained devoted to each other and to the family they built together. She was also a member of Faith Gospel Church.

Surviving she leaves her loving husband of 53 years William "Kenny" Oliver Jr., son Steven (Leah) Oliver, daughter, Kimberly (Joe) Dexter one granddaughter, Lillianna Oliver and grandson's Ryan Oliver, Dalton Dexter, Clayton Dexter, Carson Carpenter and Axel Bennet. Brother; Roger Putney, sisters; Wanda Putney, Vicki Hanning and Diana (Tom) Angel sister-in-law, Linda (Rick) Gilmore along with many nieces nephews friends and extended family, step mother in law Barbara Mayes, step in laws, Charles Rainey, Ellan Bonecutter Dorothy Tolvinski and Tammy Oliver.

Visitation for Joyce will be Tuesday July 9, 2024 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home from 6-8. Funeral services conducted by Pastor Ted Nance will be Wednesday July 10, 2024 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00, burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery on Crab Creek Rd.
