Obituary

Kenneth Lee Bledsoe, 83, of Letart, WV, went home Friday, October 21, 2016, after a battle with a rare blood disease. He had a deep love for both his physical and spiritual families. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 37 years. After retirement, he pastored the Church of God of Prophecy for 19 years. Kenneth also organized Singing in the Pines and led this gospel sing for 34 years. The 35th annual sing is scheduled for June, 2017. He had a great love for hunting and shared his skill with many. He also liked to visit and talk, with his conversation and life always reflecting his love for the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of, as he said, "61derful years", Evelyn (Singleton) Bledsoe; daughters and sons-in-law, Ginny and Steve Cadle, of Leon and Linda and Bill Mays, of Ashland, KY; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Tammy Bledsoe, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; grandchildren, Travis, Amanda and Eric Cadle; step-grandchildren, David Mays, Alissa (Mays) Cannoy, Letisha Parriet and James Fielder; five step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary, Carl, James and Lynn Bledsoe; sisters, Delores Noel and Phyllis Alley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ollie Bledsoe; and brothers Donald and Larry Bledsoe.
Kenneth's life will be remembered at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memory Gardens, Letart. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
