Lawrence "Jeff" McDowell age 54 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Tuesday January 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by family after a long illness.

He was born May 9, 1962, in Kanawha County, a son to the late Joretta Joyce Huffman, of St. Albans. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmira and Frank, Sr., Johnson and great uncle, Frank Johnson, Jr. He was a former Hazmat worker and member of the Asbestos Local #207, in New Haven, WV.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sarah (Craig) McDowell, of Point Pleasant; four daughters, Suvanna (J.C.) Coon, of Big Chimney, Robin (Seth) Langford, Jessica (Donald) Leach, Raven (Bryan) Randolph, all of Point Pleasant; sister, Judith Kay Lacy, of St. Albans; brothers, Michael (Myra) McDowell, of South Carolina, Gary McDowell, of St. Albans, Bryan (Patricia) McDowell, of Hamlin; 13 grandchildren, four nieces, 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Plants officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.
