Lera A. (Neal) Hall, 86, of New Haven and formerly a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday evening, August 29, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a retired clerk with the Kroger Corporation. Lera was born on September 9, 1924, in Mason County, a daughter to the late James E. and Stella (Drake) Neal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Hall.
Lera is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Hall, of New Haven; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Hall, of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren, Stacie Pullins, Davie Hall, Candie Hall and Jamie Hall; her great-grandchildren, Audrianna Pullins, Kirk Pullins, Laura Pullins and Jacoby Hall; and special niece, Patsy Frazier, of Point Pleasant. The family would like to thank caregivers Wilma Rollins and Wanda Oliver for the special care that Lera received in her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
