Lillian (Hart) Pierson, age 89, of Leon, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, January 23, 2011, at the Holzer Medical Center, in Gallipolis. Lillian was a homemaker and was born January 18, 1922, in Leon, a daughter to the late Floyd and Ida (Donohue) Hart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "John" Pierson; her son, Scotty Pierson; son-in-law, Jimmy Douglas; four sisters, Olive Pierson, Doris Crump, Famous Hart and Geraldine Blessing and two brothers Wallie Hart and Jack Hart.

Lillian is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Willard Pierson, of Leon and Douglas and Juanita Pierson, of Point Pleasant; three daughters, Violet Douglas and Velva Pierson, both of Leon and Juanita Sayre, of Racine, OH; daughter-in-law, Kay Pierson, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Ray and Gary Douglas, Tanna Pierson, Darrell Sayre, Lora and Steve Blackhurst, Clara and Chad Brown and Katie Pierson; great-granddaughter, Celena Brown; two sisters and brother-in-law, Catherine Deweese and Lizzie Mae and Johnny Beegle, all of Leon; and brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Merle Hart, of Leon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Verlin "Sampy" Hart and Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thomas Ridge Rd., Leon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
