Margie Viola Matheny, 95, of Leon, WV passed away at Mount View Care Center in Ripley, WV, on December 13, 2023.

She was born June 3, 1928, in Leon, WV, daughter of the late Henry H. and Mary Miller Matheny.

Margie attended local schools and was a member of Shiloh Community Church, in Leon, WV.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Omer and Carl Matheny, and her sister, Virginia Matheny.

Survivors include her brother, Donald D. (Dian) Matheny, and a special niece, Cindy Overs of Jacksonville, NC, nephews, Jeff Matheny, of Bradenton, FL, Curt L. Matheny, of Leon, WV, Roger Matheny, of Norfolk, VA, step-nephews, Jason Brown of MD and Shay Bradshaw of McArthur, OH.

Funeral services will be held at Leon Bethel Church on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with visitation from 11:00 - 1:00, and funeral officiated by Preacher Tracy Durst, beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow in Leon Bethel Cemetery.
