Marie Evangeline Plants age 82 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away early Thursday September 24, 2021 at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Oh.

Marie was born in Point Pleasant, Wv on May 31, 1939 to the late Roy Newell Sr and Freda Ellan Rayburn Newell she was a homemaker and loved the farm and all the animals it brought, she loved birds as well as her cats and the color purple.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by, her siblings; Donald Newell, Nelson Ray Newell, Betty Miller, Roy Newell Jr., Robert Newell, Fiance' Leon Parker, grandson, Carl Richard Salyers Jr, son-in-laws; Donald E. Johnson I and Carl Richard Salyers Sr.

Marie is survived by her children; Alfreda M (Carl Roush) Hupp, Peggy Johnson and Gerlinda Salyers, grand-children; Amanda L. Hupp, Michael A. Hupp, Donald E. Johnson II, Sasha Johnson (specieal grandson Ronnie Lavender Jr), and Korissa Janell Salyers, great grandchildren; Ava Sprouse, Mathew Atha, Michael Atha, Alicia, Katie, Zoey, Piston and Harper along with several nieces, nephews and cousins that will all miss her deeply.

Services for Marie will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home

Visitation will be Monday September 27, 2021 from 6-8 funeral service conducted by Pastor Donny Dye will be Tuesday September 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery.

There will be a dinner following at Krodel Park and all are welcome
