Obituary

Marilyn S. "Terry" Casto age 94 of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her home, in Point Pleasant, with family at her side.  She was born April 12, 1926, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred (Parry) Jones.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Carroll W. "Shake" Casto and Steve Clemins; and son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Pamela Casto.

Terry graduated from Follansbe High School, as the valedictorian of the class of 1943. She then attended Oberlin College and transferred to West Virginia University, where she graduated in 1947, with a B.S. in education and was a member Beta Iota Chapter of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She married "Shake" in August of 1947 and settled in Point Pleasant, where she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, the AAUW, Women of the Moose and charter member of the Point Pleasant Garden Club. She taught music at PPJHS for 31 years.

Terry is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Kathy Casto, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Geoffrey (Heather), Erin (Andy), Christopher (Brittany), Denny (Rachelle), Parry (Marsha), Jonathan (Lindsay), Richard See and Patena See; and several great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service for family and friends at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Fairplain Cemetery, in Fairplain, WV, with Fr. Ray Hage officiating. At Terry's request, she would prefer no flowers, but contributions in her memory be made to the Altar Guild of Christ Episcopal Church, 804 Main St., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.

The family would like to thank Terry's caregivers, Connie Hoffman and Brenda Lee, and the staff of Hospice of Huntington, Kelly, Heidi, Kelly, Wendy and Christine.  The care of the Casto Family has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.  Family and friends may express condolences online at: crowhussellfh.com
