Mary Alice Biggs, age 71, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025, at The Emogene Dolin Hospice House, in Huntington, WV.

Mary was born April 1, 1953, in Clearwater, FL., to the late John and Ula (Gardner) Scherer. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Scherer.

Mary loved her family and took her role as homemaker very seriously and was very proud to take care of her home and to see that David,  and their daughter Marcie, was well equipped and had a wonderful loving place to call home.

She loved her husband David with her whole heart as he returned that feeling. She was a caring and giving person who loved shopping and beach trips,  not only with her family, but also those memorable Myrtle Beach trips with her partner in crime and best friend since grade school, Patty Thomas. She also had a love for animals, especially her dog Bogey, and even made trips to visit her in Huntington.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, David Biggs; daughter, Marcie Biggs; one sister, Vickie Haldren-Phalin; best friend, Patty Thomas; and her fur baby, Bogey, along with extended family and a host of friends.

Those who knew Mary knew she was a private person, and in keeping with her wishes, services will be private here at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest beside her parents at Haven of Rest, in Red House, WV.
