Mary Lou (Hendricks) Griffith, age 86, of Sissonville and formerly of Point Pleasant, passed into the loving care of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Cedar Ridge Center, in Sissonville. She was a homemaker and had worked at for her brother-in-law, Dr. Richard Slack and also at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She received nurses training for over two years and also attended the Southland Bible School, in Pikeville, KY. She was also a member of the Main St. Baptist Church.

Mary was born on April 23, 1931, in Whitesville, WV, a daughter to the late Ray and Mary (Estep) Hendricks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Eric S. Griffith; twin granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica Griffith; and sisters, Gloria Sue Slack and Betty Jarrell.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Regina Griffith, of Letart; granddaughter, Erin and Ronald Roy, of Point Pleasant; two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Taegan; and special friend, Deloris Gibbs, of Hartford.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will be held in Union Cemetery, New Haven, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
