Mary J. (Hayman) Thomas, 96, of Point Pleasant, and formerly of Leon, went home o be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 21, 2023. She was a Christian and attended Shiloh Church for many years. She was born March 13, 1927, in East Liverpool, OH, to the late John R. and Rose Ella (Scines) Hayman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James A. Thomas; an infant brother; brother and sister-in-law, John E. and Ruth Hayman; sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Jack Beaver; brother, Carl "Bill" Hayman; and sister, Wanda Greenlee.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Morgan, of Point Pleasant; grandson, Mike Morgan, of Wasilla, Alaska; sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Donnie Hill, of Leon, and Roke and Joe Jefferies, of Trophy Club, TX; and sister, Melony Moore, of Columbus, OH; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial will be held at the convenience of her family. For those wishing to remember Mary, and her desire to make sure people were fed, contributions may be made to the food pantry at Jackson Ave. Baptist Church, 2816 Jackson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550, or to the Point Pleasant Gideons, c/o the First Church of God, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.
