Mary Virginia (Rhodes) Newman, age 97, of Southside, WV passed away peacefully and with grace while surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Holzer Senior Care, in Gallipolis, OH.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Waymer Newman; a son Bobby Newman; and two daughters, Judy Zwolenski and Mary Evans.

Mary is survived by her children: Janet (Larry) Lanier, Elva Ferguson and Buddy (Julie) Newman, thirteen grandchildren: John Thevenin, Larry Newman, Sandra Hill, Roberta Newman, Sarah Stafford, Eric Lanier, Danny Zwolenski, Angela Newman, Sara Thevenin,Ernie Flora, Scott Newman, Sherry Goodall and Tricia Lambert, one sister-in-law Henrietta Rhodes. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00, with funeral services officiated by Pastor Robert Patterson II, at 11:00 A.M., with burial following at Beech Hill Cemetery.
