Mary Ruth (McCarty) Rollins, 80, of Leon, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mary was the owner/operator of Rollins Wrecker Service and Garage, since 1967. Mary was born April 16, 1933, in Leon, a daughter to the late Earl and Madeline McCarty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Lee Rollins, her grandson, Chad Lee Rollins, great-great grandson, Eli Kristopher Dewitt; and her brother, Leonard Filmore McCarty.
Mary is survived by her children, Nancy and Bill Holland, Paul and Sheila Rollins, Wade and Kristi Rollins, Terry and Kathy Rollins, Coni Roese and Rusty Wood, Steve and Wilma Rollins; eleven grandchildren; Tina(Greg) Hartley, David Rollins, Nick Rollins, Brent (Deana)Rollins, Allison Rollins, Mia Nolan, Melissa (Wade) Scheidt, Stephanie (Eric) Birchfield, Kristi (Marshall) Woods, Janette (Jerry) Coe, and Rachel Rollins,eighteen great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters; and her special nephew, Dale Allen Rollins.
Mary's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday evening, November 9, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
