Mary Ann (DeVault) Sayre age 90 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away on Thursday August 1, 2024 while at Rivers Health Center in Point Pleasant.

Mary was born in Leon, WV on March 1, 1934 to the late Pinkney Ray and Oma Mae DeVault besides her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings: Jim DeVault, Nelson DeVault, Leona (Sis) Rice and Florence Shirley, son-in-laws; Sam Simpkins and J. Walter Gibbs Jr, and grandson, James Walter Gibbs III

Mary was a loving and giving woman who was loved by her community, she was a hard-worker and caring mother. Mary loved to garden and enjoyed watching her birds work the flowers she had planted, she spent over 26 years working at and was the head cook at Pleasant Valley Hospital for many of those years.

She loved her time spent with family and enjoyed attending the Leon Presbyterian church.

Mary leaves behind her daughters; Lodisa Gibbs and Connie Simpkins, Grandchildren; Allison Gibbs, Anna (Chris) McDuffy and William (Michelle) Simpkins, Great-grandchildren; Gage and Gaven Simpkins and Alexis Brewer and soon to arrive Evelyn McDuffy. and one  great-great- grandchild, Lincoln Brewer.

Service for Mary will be Monday August 5, 2024 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 11:00 with funeral services officiated by Pastor Robert Patterson II starting at 12:00 burial will follow at Creston Cemetery in Leon.
