Mary A. (Gordon) Stover, 84, of Leon, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, January 8, 2015, at Camden-Clark Hospital, in Parkersburg. Mary was a homemaker and member of the Leon Community Church. She was born October 3, 1930, in Leon, a daughter to the late Floyd and Delcie (Rollins) Gordon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Wes Stover and Kenneth Swain; sisters, Virginia and Hazel Gordon; and brothers, Jimmy and Bill Gordon.
Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Victor Stover, of Nitro, Marty and Carolyn Stover, of Leon, Roger and Loretta Stover, of Leon, Larry Stover, of Leon, Wesley and Stephanie Stover, of Leon, Mary Ann and Ronald Elliott, of Buffalo, and Timmy and Jeanie Stover, of Leon; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, William Gordon, of Arbuckle, Patty Gordon, of Buffalo, Susie Bailes, of Leon, Helen, of Pennsylvania and Shirley Demaio, of California.
Mary's life will be remembered at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Pete Cobb and Rev. Verlin "Sampy" Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Craig Cemetery, in Arbuckle. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
