Michael Joe (Joey) Hively Jr, 39, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away January 26, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, in Point Pleasant WV, after a short illness, with his family by his side.

He was a construction worker and worked for family business for several years. He had a love for his family that was unmeasurable and spent several years finding ways to prove that. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, brothers, and cousins or just by himself, and many times you could find him casting a line at Krodel.

Joey was born January 19, 1984, to Mike Hively and Karen Meyer, at   Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeremiah Hively; grandparents, Clarence and Helen Hively, Jim Circle and Maxine Pauley; aunts, Lucille Hively, Millie Withrow, and Debbie Holmes; and uncle, Rick Circle.

Joey is survived by his parents, Mike and Betty Hively of Point Pleasant, WV; mother, Karen (Ed ) Meyer, of St. Albans, WV, brothers, Ron (Koah) Hively of Point Pleasant, WV, Ronnie (Nikki) Hunter, of Henderson, WV, Lloyd Smith, of Point Pleasant, WV, Eddie Hunter, of Point Pleasant, WV; sister, Bridgette Hunter, of Point Pleasant WV; and several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joey's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday.
