Michael Ohlinger 48, of Point Pleasant, Wv, passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Mike is a veteran of the United States Army, he was very proud of his service as a combat engineer from 1982 to 1988 after his honorable discharge Mike work for a time at American Alloys, he also worked as an Ironworker out of local #601 of South Carolina.
Mike was a longtime member of Carpenters local #1159 where he worked until his passing.
He was also a member of the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge, and the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.
He is preceeded in death by his father, Herman Ohlinger, grand parents; Naoma and Herman D. Ohlinger, and Jack Kee Flesher.
Surviving, Mike leaves behind his children; Joshua Ohlinger, of Staunton, IL, Ryan Shae Ohlinger (Heather), and Micah Leigh Ohlinger, all of Point Pleasant, his loving mother; Nancy Ohlinger, granddaughter; Khloe La'Shae Ohlinger,two brothers, Tedd (Jill) Ohlinger of Louisiana, and J.C. Ohlinger of Gallipolis, Oh, grandparents; Iris and Bill Gibbs, and very special friends, Julie Taylor, and her son Michael Taylor.
Services for Michael will be held at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with visitation on Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm with the funeral service Thursday at 11a.m. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, in New Haven, Wv.
