Millie F. Scarberry, 60, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Friday morning, October 25, 2013, at her home. Millie was a retired educator in Gallia County Schools. She was a graduate of Rio Grande College and was proud to be a "Sooner", where she earned her Master's Degree from the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was the church organist and director of the bell choir. She was also very active in the United Methodist Women. Millie was also on the Board of Ebenezer Community Outreach, in Huntington, where she served as Secretary.
Millie was born on December 14, 1952, in Gallipolis, a daughter to the late Ralph and Loredith (Herald) Thompson Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Homer Lowe.
Millie is survived by her loving husband, Timothy L. Scarberry; her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Tiffany Scarberry, of Point Pleasant; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and David Hineman, of Point Pleasant; and brother and sister-in-law, Rocky and Kim Thompson, of Cincinnati, OH.
Millie's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Kelly, III and Rev. Mark Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
