Mollie Rebecca (Roe) Sanders, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Ohio State University Hospice. She was retired from the Lakin State Hospital, and she also worked at the DHHR office, Dr. Robert Holley's office, and her greatest joy, at Green Acres in Lesage. She loved helping those who suffered from developmental disabilities. But even more than that, she poured her life into her church, and to her God. She would always do for others, and pray for others, and never for herself. Her steadfast faith was unwavering, even as she battled her own illness.

Mollie was born on July 15, 1954, in Gallipolis Ferry, a daughter to the late Dallas and Glenna Mae (Walker) Roe. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Steve Sanders; together, Mollie and Steve were Papa and Nana to Brandi Mitchell and Mariah Alexis Mitchell, Reagan and Sutton Robinson, Cambreigh Spears, and Maggie Bennett. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Lennie (Janet) Roe, of Barboursville, Janie Randolph, of Gallipolis, Harrison (Phyllis) Roe, of Point Pleasant, Carrie (David) Scragg, of The Plains, OH, Joe (Tammie) Roe, of Vinton, OH, Ammon (Edith) Roe, of Washington Courthouse, OH; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

There will be a service celebrating Mollie's life at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church (behind Krodel Park), with Pastor Mark Polley officiating. Burial will follow in Austin-Hope-McLeod Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
