Ola Esther (Smith) McDade, age 76, died late Monday evening, April 12, 2010, at the Arbors, in Gallipolis. She was a homemaker and loved her family. Born July 10, 1933, in Leon, WV, she was a daughter to the late Harry G. and Nancy B. (Sayre) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald William McDade, Sr.; a son, Donald William McDade, Jr.; her sister, Dicie Pelly; and eight brothers, Sumner, Omen Lester, Franklin Sterling, Beauford "Tip", Billy, Don, Harry, and Briciel Smith.

Esther is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Sue and Ed Nicholson, of Leon and Brenda and Marvin Durst, of Circleville, OH; three granddaughters; and her brother, Floyd Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
