Phyllis Ann (Flora) White age 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV passed away early Wednesday April 24, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.

Phyllis was born September 26, 1950 in Boone, Co. W.V.,  and is preceded in death by her father, mother Eloise Flora, and four brothers.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that enjoyed the little things in life. She was a hard working example to her children and grandchildren. Phyllis loved her home in the country, enjoyed her dogs, and front porch sittin' with her husband Don. She loved hunting mushrooms and getting away to one of her favorite places to sit on the beach at Oak Island, NC.

She was a homemaker who loved to cook and was an avid gardener. She kept her flowers full and hardy so she could enjoy her hummingbirds as they would return every year to baste in the glory of the flowers she kept. She even had one hummingbird that would show up at the same time every year. It would help itself inside and land on her hand looking for that perfect sweet treat that her flowers provided.

Surviving Phyllis leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Don White Sr., and their four children; Don (Kelly) White Jr., LaVonna Jo (Joey) Davis, Tammy (Jeff) Hudson and Shelia Flora. Her pride and joy grandkids, Don White III, Judi Thompson, Ryen (Tessa) Tomblin, Adam Williams, Jacob Williams, LeAnn Ruddle, Alex Murray, 5 thought of grandkids, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends that will all deeply miss her.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Phyllis White on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 3:00p.m. It will officiated by Charlie Dabney and Bert Flora at Millstone Church.
