Ralph William "Bill" Patterson, age 59, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at his home. He worked at Southern States for 23 years and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was also a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He was born August 20, 1955, in Mason County, a son to the late Joseph McKinley and Glenna Irene Mae (Crawford) Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, James "Bub" and Franklin "Buck" Patterson, Carrie Mae Pearson, Rose Anna Patterson; and father-in-law, Joseph Higgins.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie "Tubbs" (Higgins) Patterson, daughter and son-in-law, Dee Dee and John Aaron Dabney, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Cory "Cor-Cor" Dabney and Erin Dabney; brothers, Kenneth and Deloris Patterson, of Gallipolis Ferry and Dwayne Patterson, of Point Pleasant; sisters, Nancy and Forrest Long and Edna Denais, all of Gallipolis Ferry, Josephine and Terry, Sr. Hooper, of Cumberland City, TN; mother-in-law, Gennie "Momma" Wallis; special nieces and nephews that were close to his heart; and a special furry friend, Schnoor.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Bonecutter officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service on Friday. Pallbearers will be: Cory Dabney, John Aaron Dabney, Victor Williamson, Travis Williamson, H.C. Wallis, Zach Wallis, Darrell Pearson and Brian Patterson.
