Raymond (Ray) Gene Rhoades Jr., age 68 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away on December 27, 2022 at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a short illness.

Ray was born July 23, 1954 in San Francisco, CA. to the late Raymond Rhoades Sr. and Rosalie (Kyle) Staten of Reno, NV.

He is survived by his best friend and partner of 29 years, Jessie Marie Jones of Point Pleasant, WV, his son, Jason Rhoades and daughter, Priscilla Rhoades both of Gallipolis Ferry, Wv., three grandchildren; Ashton Broughman of New Haven, WV. and Shaelyn Dempsey and Paislee Roberts of Gallipolis Ferry, WV., brothers; Randy Rhoades of Reno, NV Raymond and David Rhoades of San Francisco, CA, sister; Rosanne Rhoades and Debbie Staton of Reno, NV., nieces and nephews; Summer Ocha, Chanel Hopkins, Amber Rhoades, Brandi Roberts, Andrew Rhodes, Jeremy Hopkins and Tonya Rhoades.

Ray graduated high school in California and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1972 - 1976 where he was a kitchen supervisor and served in Korea and Germany during his tour, after his discharge of honorable service Ray found his way to west Virginia and settled down in Point Pleasant where he work and started his own business serving the community of Point Pleasant and surrounding areas for over 30 years as the owner and operator of Ray's Complete Car Cleaning.

There will be a celibration of Ray's life at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Saturday January 7, 2023 from 1-3.
