Obituary

Richard Allen "Dickie" Fielder, 69, of Point Pleasant, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. Dickie was born on June 19, 1942, in Mason County, a son to the late Orval Ross and Jane June (Martin) Fielder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brent Fielder; his sister, Janet June Neal; and brother-in-law, Glen Johnson.

Dickie is survived by his children, Tammy Lynn and Robert McCleary, of Logan, WV, Scott Allen and Mary Fielder, of Gallipolis, Melissa Jones and Robert Marchal, both of Letart; his lifetime partner, Marilyn Marchal, of Letart; his grandchildren, Kurtis and Travis Hunt, Billijo Christy and Jeana Christy, Makayla Jones and Dakota Nicholas all of Gallipolis; his great-grandchildren, Kenny Hunt, Keaton Christy, Jonathon Christy and John Wayne Sturgeon; two brothers, Ronald Ross (Pat) Fielder, of Sacramento, CA and Robert Dale Fielder, of Point Pleasant; five sisters, Sharon Lee Donohew, Debra Sue (Jack) Simpkins, all of Point Pleasant, Carolyn Johnson and Patricia Ball, both of Gallipolis, Diana Lynn (Donald) Wright, of Bidwell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery, in Southside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 1, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
