Rev. Richard Duane Purchase, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away into the arms of his Lord  and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, May 10, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center. He was an ordained minister, who served the Lord faithfully for many years. He was born October 10, 1939, in Lansing, Michigan, a son to the late William and Ruth (Martin) Purchase. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Purchase; and siblings, Virgilene Campbell, Delores Loudin, William Purchase, Jr., and Connie McVey.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Lila (Ringle) Purchase; daughter, Mary Moll, of Greenwood, IN; sons, Andrew Purchase, of Michigan, Nathan (Dana) Purchase, of Northville, NY; daughter-in-law, Angela Hill; grandchildren, Hannah, Heather, Heidi, Jonathan, Ryan, Andrew, Calvin, Drew, Brianne and Tristan; several great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Linda) Purchase, of Pinckney, MI, Kenneth (Charlene) Purchase, of Six Lakes, MI, Douglas Purchase, of Fort Pierce, FL, and Jerry Purchase, of Six Lakes, MI; and sister-in-law, Ann Purchase, of Katy, TX.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock.
