Rickie D. Smith  age 65, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away at Pleasant Valley Hospital on Wednesday January 16, 2019.

Rickie was born May 30, 1953 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Briciel and Helen (Fowler) Smith, besides his parents Rickie is preceded in death by his loving wife Gayla and a brother, Justin Fowler.

Rickie was a farmer, a man that worked hard and enjoyed life to he fullest, he loved his family and spending his spare time hunting despite the season he was always lready to get out in the woods and bring back... well at least stories of the adventures and the one that got away.

Much like hunting  the season didn't matter you would find Rickie shuffling into any and all Point Pleasant sporting events with popcorn in hand. You could safely say that Rickie was a passionate Big Blacks Fan, Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball alike no trip was to far, or weather to bad, if his beloved Big Blacks were playing he was always there to support and cheer them on to victory!

Rickie leaves behind his loving family; sons, Chris Smith and Shane (Kara) Smith one daughter, Amy (David) Nelson one grandson that he was very proud of, Ian Bradley Smith his only brother, Bryan (Stacy) Smith and two nieces; Amanda and Bridget and his nephew; Michael. Also surviving is one sister-in-law; Sheila Fowler.

Memorial service for Rickie will be Saturday January 19, 2019 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home from 5-7 Pastor Robert Patterson will close the service beginning at 7 PM.
