Robert "Bob" Leport, 72, of Charleston, WV and formerly of Point Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at his home. Bob was retired from Stone and Thomas and was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church. He will be remembered for being down to earth and treating everyone with love. Born July 16, 1936 in Mason County, he was a son of the late William Sr., and Martha (Burns) Leport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles "Snipe", Howard "Duck" William "Bill", Jr., and Paul Leport; and one sister, Betty Jo Leport.

Bob is survived by his niece, Lois and Curtis Riffle, of Point Pleasant; his nephew, John Leport, of Sioux Falls, SD; and several great-nieces and nephews and his many friends in the Charleston area.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Robert L. Patterson, II officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
