Robert Junior Newberry, age 87, of Point Pleasant, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and his beloved Delores, on Thursday morning, December 17, 2020, at his home.  He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Junior loved farming and was a member of Krebs Chapel Church.  He was born September 21, 1933, in Graham, WV, a son to the late Robert and Velma Newberry.  In addition to his parents was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Greenlee) and by siblings, Geneva, Walter, Clayton, Elmer, Delmer, Lawrence, Leonard, Harry and Ruby.

Junior is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Gary Walbrown, Linda and Marty Roush, Sharon and Carl Morris, all of Point Pleasant and Karen and Tim Harper, of Gallipolis Ferry; grandchildren, Kevin (Zara) Casto, Lurinda (David) Gardner, Chris (Annie), Andrew (April Stevens) Walbrown, Zach and Anna Jo (Morris) (Adam) Young, and Timmy and Tisha (Harper) (Lee) Tennant; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Drake, Noah, Lucrysta, Skyla, Lyanna, Crista and Brayden; and many other extended family and friends.

There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 20, at Creston Cemetery, with Pastors John Bumgardner and Bob Patterson officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Face coverings and social distancing protocol will be observed.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Junior's memory to the Hillbilly's 4-H Club, 492 Country Club Road, Point Pleasant, WV, 25550. Crow-Hussell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of the Newberry family.
