Robert R. "Tweety" Randolph, 69, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He owned and operated the Union 76 Gas Station on 28th St., in Point Pleasant, had worked at the Malleable Iron and Hutton's Car Wash. He lived at the Towers in Point Pleasant and attended church services there. He was also an avid softball enthusiast.
Tweety was born on October 3, 1943, in Mason County, a son to the late Rainey and Esther (Rainey) Randolph. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Randolph and his sisters, Doris DeWeese and infant sister Ruby.
Tweety is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Greg Bonecutter, of Point Pleasant; Robyn and Rick Erwin, of Gallipolis; the mother of his children, Janie Randolph; grandchildren, Haleigh and Trae Bonecutter and Mackenzie and Hunter Erwin; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Floris and Clyde Wolfenbarger, of Point Pleasant, Nancy and Don Shaw, of Bidwell, Helen Pearson and Erma Smith, both of Point Pleasant and Alice Stephens, of Columbus; and special caregiver, Tina Benson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastors Carl "Boxer" Swisher and Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning, one hour prior to the service.
