Tulanowski
January 5, 1949 – June 11, 2025
Roger Alan Tulanowski, 76 of Point Pleasant, WV. formerly of Idamay, WV passed away at his home on June 11, 2025, surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born January 5, 1949, in Fairmont, WV to the late Arthur and Eva Tulanowski.
Roger lived a full life of love, laughter and service. Roger was a proud veteran, who served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military Service he worked for over 33 years at Eastern Coal and eventually retired from Peabody Coal where he was a Survey Engineer. Roger also served the State of West Virginia as a Correctional Officer at the Western Regional Jail before retiring yet again. Roger was a Christian. Known as "Mr. fix it" and could repair just about anything. He loved hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a jokester and loved to pester everyone., he was a great storyteller and kept everyone laughing.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn Tulanowski of 23 years, and together for 25. Surviving children, Eric (Cary) Tulanowski, Jarod (Becca) Tulanowski, Trischa (Jerry) Wilson, Noah, also known as "Jr" (Deborah) Marcum, Kathryn, also known as "Alvin" (Joshua) Stover, Layla Wilson, PVT. Tristan Wilson, and Xander Wilson. Grandchildren include Breaidan (Ally) Tulanowski, Owen (Hannah) Tulanowski, Ethan, Austin, and Alana Tulanowski, Megan La Favers (Jordan Tucker), Zara La Favers, Cameron Marcum, Sophia and Kylenn Stover. Great grandchildren include Owen, Samson and Jensen Tucker. One brother, Ronnie (Sandy) Tulanowski. A special nephew, Roger Pauley, and several other nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, WV on Saturday June 21, 2025, at 11:30 with Pastor Jeff Fetty officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
