Rosetta Durst

1937-1924

On November 21,2024 Rosetta went peacefully into the arms of Jesus whom she had lived her life from a young age for-with her son by her side.

Rosetta Doris. (Dudley) Durst, 87, of Letart, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Rivers Health Hospital. She was homemaker. She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church. She was born July 13, 1937 Marengo, Ohio a daughter of the late Homer L. and Edith R. (Smith) Dudley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Glen E. Dudley and a sister Ruth E. (Dudley) Covert

She is survived by her loving husband Walter W. Durst, they would have been married for 61 years on November 23rd, son Dale E. (Lisa) Durst of Letart, WV, daughter Loretta J. Durst (Shane) Hawbaker of Winchester, KY. Grandchildren Michael E. (Brittany) Durst of St. Albans, WV, Miranda F. Hawbaker (Adam) Roush. Great Grandchildren Greyson, Isaac, Magnolia and Russell.

She attended Wesleyan College at Marion, Indiana. She worked in the office at HPM, Mt. Gilead, Ohio before she was married. She helped several years at West Virginia Training School and College Point Pleasant, WV. Years later she worked at Twin Rivers Tower.

A very special thank you to Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center Staff for taking great care of her these past 2 years. Also, a special thanks to River Health Hospital for taking care of her in her last moments on this earth.

Services for Rosetta will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Sunday November 24, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00, with funeral services officiated by Aaron Riley beginning at 2:00, and burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
