Roy E. Durst, 67, of Point Pleasant, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, on Friday morning, January 28, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus.  He was retired from CSX/Norfolk Southern Railroad and attended the Point of Faith Church.  Born February 24, 1954, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Lloyd, Sr., and Ida Mae (Blessing) Durst.  In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Durst, and his brother, Joe Durst; and cousin, Scotty Pierson.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne Durst; grandson, Darian Durst; and cousins, Willard and Velva Pierson, Douglas and Juanita Pierson, Juanita Sayre and Violet Douglas; brother-in-law, Michael Clonch; sister-in-law, Melinda Rollins, and her daughter, Angela Norvell, and Angela's daughter, Jayce Beaver.

At Roy's request, there will be no public services.  Roy will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery.  You may offer condolences to his family, via this webpage.
