Samuel L. Beckner, age 67, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was a retired school bus driver for Mason County School District. He was born July 5, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio, a son to the late David, Sr. and Opal (Hughes) Beckner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, David Joe Beckner, Jr., and sister, Kinzel Banks.

Sam is survived by his wife, Freda Beckner, of Point Pleasant; daughter, Mandy Siders, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Savannah and Sydney Siders, of Point Pleasant; and many extended family and friends.

Sam was an avid car enthusiast, spending countless hours tinkering with, waxing, and washing his cars, motorcycles, and ATVs and attending car shows, leaving behind a community of friends who shared his passion.

Sam will always be remembered for his kindness and love for his family and friends and willingness to help anyone however he can. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor and family friend, Bob Patterson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00

Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Robert Patterson II will begin at 2:00

Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens
