Sarah Ellen (Riffle) Robertson passed away on November 9, 2022, in the care of the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House, in Huntington, WV, after a valiant battle against cancer.  Sarah was born on September 25, 1974, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Larry and Ellen (West) Riffle.  She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Riffle, and husband, Ronald Robertson.

Sarah was a graduate of Marshall University, holding a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in journalism and mass communications, specializing in public relations.  She was formerly employed as a media relations specialist with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia.  Upon moving back to Point Pleasant from Charleston, she was self-employed as a freelance copy editor for various publications and authors.

Sarah is survived by her son, Sam Robertson; mother, Ellen (West) Riffle; sister-in-law, Terasa (Robertson) Miller; brother, Scott Riffle (Carol); nieces, Teagan Miller, Terynn Miller, and Ashley Riffle (Brandon Maynard); nephew Andy Riffle (Jaimie); and great-nieces Ellie Maynard, Sutton Maynard, and Amelia Riffle.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with the service beginning at 7 p.m.  Sam has requested that in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House or to colon cancer research.
